Biography

Victor Foulon was born on November 21, 1986. He discovered the joy of making music during his adolescent years, thanks to his grandfather who showed him his first chords of Bossa Nova.

Soon passionate, he joined the Royal conservatory of Brussels in 2008 where he studied jazz guitar with Fabien Degryse and Victor Da Costa then upright bass three years later with Jean-Louis Rassinfosse.

Graduated in both instruments, he plays Upright bass in differents projects from traditional swing to more contemporary jazz and guitar in world/folk/pop music.

In 2010 he received 1st prize “du concours jeune talent” at the festival of Comblain-la-Tour with the Evan Surya quartet (guitar) then in 2012 with “Saying Somethin' quartet" (bass). In 2013, He recoded the first album of « God Save the Swing! ». In 2014, he recorded the compositions of Margaux Vranken for the movie's soundtracks "Les Liberterres » (RTBF) and the first album of Jeremy Dumont trio « Resurection ». In 2016, He recorded an album for Diederik Wissels and the second album of God Save the Swing!.
